Yo guys, having a problem with a pc at the moment. I needed to reinstall XP on it so stuck the disk in and set bios to boot from Cd-Rom. It booted up and then said "Boot From Cd"
Now usually it takes a few seconds and then tells you to press any key. This pc is taking like 4-5 minutes to come up with this . It did eventually ask me to press any key and i installed XP, but now i need to boot off another cd and it does the same thing.
Anyone no what could be causing this?

it could be your cd rom drive. What speed is it?? Did it ever come up after 3 or 4 seconds or is it just on other pcs???

I would say that it is just a slow cd rom drive
