Eh just went to install some software, from my software library which spans 3 hard drives. And for example Microsoft Antispyware which is normally around what 9Mb or so is no 256kb!! this is the same with all my .exes on all my hard drives. They have all shrunk to some really small random size ranging from about 0k -400k!!

So i thought it might be that XP had messed itself up. So I reinstalled XP and it's still the same!!

    And im sh1ting myself!!!

anyone ever seen anything like this before?

nasty, although you mustn't have had any service packs installed, i downloaded the patch there and it said that it could only be installed on a system with no service packs

Its a shame almost everybody got through a experience like this before they decide that having/keeping up-to-date antivirus software and having their system fully patched is a good idea :(

I learned the hard way too, when I was about 14! My 486 at the time got owned by the CIH (chernobyl) virus that deleted your primary dos partition
