    Blackburn v Birmingham - Blackburn
    Arsenal v Man City - Arsenal(Henry is back :))
Aston Villa v Wigan - Draw
    Fulham v Liverpool - Draw
Man Utd v Spurs - Man Utd[I don't think we have it in midfield, but if our defense holds up, which I expect it to, we have Rooney and Ronaldo to win us this game. With Van Nist on form, and Park also there, I expect us to score more goals than Spurs do. I'm looking forward to this match as I'm watching it with a Spurs fan in Sinnots. Can't wait to see the look on his face.]
    Portsmouth v Charlton - Charlton

Or the look on yours if Spurs win! Is Ronaldo back for this game? Didn't think he'd be playing with the allegations hanging over his head.

Going for a Spurs win (on Setanta btw). Wont risk a Liverpool guess!

Ronaldo is back for the game. They have schedualed his court case around the football, and he is going to be at least on the bench. Although form of late should mean he is on the bench, he is a match winner so I'd imagine he will play.

    Liverpool squad shock

    Reina
    Josemi Carra Sami Traore
    Kewell Sissoko Alonso Riise
    Moro--Cisse

    though it could be

    Reina
    Josemi Carra Sami Traore
    Sissoko Alonso
    -Kewell---Moro---Riise
    Cisse

Either way its an attacking lineup.

    Mike.

Man United really need to pick up their game and show their quality against this very good Tottenham side.

    11/4 in Ladbrokes.

Not a bad bet considering each sides current form. 11/4 isn't great odds for a team playing away though.

What does Alan Smith have to do to get booked here? The commentators keep going on about the "new" Uriah Rennie but it looks like same ol' rubbish to me.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't have risked €200 for those odds.

    Jenas!!! What a goal!

Pires screws up another penalty. Still 1-0. Apparently he tried to pass the ball from the penalty spot for Henry to score. Just what the hell are they playing at?

Wishful thinking because he's on my fantasy team. Sorry for any misunderstandings!

What the hell has happened Man United roll on the sacking of the legend that is Sir Alex Ferguson who has truly out stayed his welcome. Please Malcolm Glazier sack him now 1-1 at home against Tottenham WTF like.

You cant sack him because of a draw to spurs, thats a ridiculous thing to say!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,115 ✭✭✭Pacifico

A draw with Spurs is hardly a bad result....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,679 ✭✭✭Chong

No its the results overall in the past few weeks, not just because of the spurs game.

the loyalty being shown by some Man U fans to Fergie this season is truly amazing, what do ( those who call for his removal / booing at OT) think will happen if he leaves ? Who do you think could do a better job, where will all these great new players magically appear from , how will all injuries suddenly evaporate ?

Ferguson is one of the best managers in the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Rafa sure is lucky Liverpool won the CL last season or he'd be under alot of pressure too. A loss to Fulham, even if it was away, is not acceptable for a team aiming for CL qualification.

Trust me a few more results like that and the Rafa Out campaign will be at full steam. Yet again the Post-CL game stinks I understand Josemi was particularly pants yet Rafa has an option in Barragan. Traore also poor I belive, so use Warnock no?. Rafa just does'nt sem to understand the Premiership.

    Mike.

A draw against Spurs is hardly a disaster. I'm as disappointed as the next United fan that we didn't get the 3 points, but take into consideration all the injuries as well. The result is being scrutinised even more because it came after the terrible 0-0 draw with Lille.
Besides, do you not remember the last two Premiership games? Two away victories, scoring 6 goals?

Ferguson is one of the best managers in the game.

    I'll second that.

Tottenham made some excellent signings in the summer and are no push over for anyone, have a look at their current league position. Some United fans seem to think all we have to do is turn out and we should get the 3 points. These "supporters" have had it too good for too long and lost theior grasp on reality if you ask me.

United ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool in the league, do we hear Arsenal fans and Liverpool fans calling for their manager to be sacked ? I could elaborate as to why I think that is but I won't this time as it tends not to go down too well in some quarters.

A bit disappointed with the United result myself. It's a bit ridiculous that anyone could call for his head after a draw with spurs at home. They're in 2nd in the league and deserve to be on the basis of their performances. I have to say i was quite happy with the match today, we're certainly more entertaining then we were a month ago, come one, we had 4 strikers on at the pitch at the end, in addition to Park, Scholes and Ronaldo

    What more do you expect?

Jenas scored a great free kick. We probably should have gotten a second, smudger was unlucky (would have been a great goal) and ronaldo *may* have done better with that header at the death. I thought the overall performance was much improved from the Lille game. JoS and Scholes in particular. Smith's performance was good also and probably his best in midfield yet.

And as someone said, we have so many players injured or coming back from injury, Neville, Heinze, Brown, Keane, Giggs, Saha, just to name a few. You never know, Saha or Giggs may have made a difference today.

Oh, and just to repeat what The Muppet said, remember We don't have a divine right to win everything

oh and :) @ 'pool and pires.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,157 ✭✭✭✭astrofool

Smith was very impressive today tbh, and he didn't do a Keane, and get booked (tho he should have... :))

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,188 ✭✭✭growler

tha pires penalty will keep me amused for years to come :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,117 ✭✭✭✭MrJoeSoap

Definitely! Second worse penalty ever behind the one from the Madrid derby many years back. Yesterdays one just shades Jermaine Jenas' one from pre-season a couple of years back into second place.
