Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations

Does jewellery come under these new regulations? It's not electricial or electronic. I bought some jewellery from Argos and had to pay the recycling charge. It wasn't a very valuable piece, but should they be adding this charge to jewellery at all?

Edit: It was a 3 piece set - pendant, earrings and watch, so I've just had a thought that it must be the watch... it has a battery.

See This and check out my post and it is also about Argos, being charged for jewelry, Like jewelry isn't even electric. Total Rip-Off

Read his post, it was a set that invluded a watch. He wasnt charged for the jewellery. Stop trying to find things to give out about where there are none.
