I'm looking for a good restaurant in Limerick, somewhere intimate. I've been to La Picola, the Jasmine and Bella Italia (Which are all great by the way). All suggestions welcome.:)

Luigi Malones comes highly recommended from a mate of mine but then again he works there so he is biased. Other than that try Dave Geoghans "Penz" out in dooradoyle.

i would have said Luigi Malones, Molanos (behind dunnes, facing onto the river)The Jasmine, Copper and Spice(next to Pizza Hut down by the Market)La Picalo (O Connell Street)

Moll Darby's (further down from the Loche Bar),
The Loche Bar have a bistro upstairs,
Fat Zoe's (close to "The Limerick Post" offices),
    The Texas Steakhouse (O'Connell Street),
Z-We Ton (next to the Old Quarter, Denmark Street),
Rogue Traders (overhead the Bank Bar, O'Connell Street),
    Poppadom (Cornmarket Square)

There is also a very nice Thai/European restaurant in the Clarion Hotel.

The Green Onion in the old Town Hall is delicious too, there's a few good restaurants by Steamboay Quay. Dolans on the Dock road have a small side restaurant that gets great reviews.

I haven't been there, but I've heard people say great things about The Mill in O'Briensbridge. Not quite Limerick City though.

I work there and i must say the food is very nice and the service is excellent but it is a bit pricey, they do good offers from 5-7 Monday - Friday. With any too main courses you get a free bottle of wine or 2 pints of quality german beer.

La Romana on O'Connell St (beside Luigi Malones) is one of my favourites
    and very reasonable.

Texas Steakout also deserves a mention but it can be quite busy so
    service can suffer a bit

Copper and Spice serves really good indian and thai..
Other than that I cant recommend the Market Square Brasserie enough. Staff are very nice and efficient, atmosphere is fantastic and food is really amazing..

The mogul Emperor is the best indian in town, imo. I'm also a big fan of the Green Onion's food. Service hasn't been great any of the times I've been there, though.

Try Brulees on the corner of Henry St and Mallow Street. Very intimate, nice portions and being decent sized cheque book.

Can't fault it. Absolutely lovely food and service excellent

Flaimer "The Yellow Lemon (near the Round house pub) is good."
This is the one place I would advise anyone to avoid. If you want good Indian "Copper & Spice" in the Milk Market.
