Did anyone read the AintItCoolNews Super Spoiler they posted today?

Apparently, they've confirmed this from several tested and independent sources that..

** SERIOUSLY, MAJOR SPOILER CONTAINED BELOW - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! **

.. Shannon dies.. apparently in the November 9th episode!

So I'm guessing that Jack will now be tormented by not being able to save the lives of three people from the same family. That is of course presuming that we discover that the Rutherford that he ignored in the ER was Shannons dad.

I can see why the would kill her off, she dosen't really serve a purpous at the moment.

in fairness, this was leaked months ago!(remember the x3 rumour?)
i hate all this manufactured hoopla about the death, the only reason 2.6 was pushed back to Nov 9th was to keep pimpin' it....
i think the producers have resigned themselves to the fact that practically everybody knows who dies now, and gonna make the huge surprise

the fact that she gets intentionally killed by one of the other female crash survivors

*is not looking forward to 2 weeks of re-runs between 2.5 and 2.6*

Anyways I read that yes a character will die in the next few episodes (possibly next week) and it'll be murder...

For the time being no-one will know who killed them and we'll more than likely find out just before the season hiatus.

Its not that Shannon is a great character or anything,but killing off the brother and the sister...meh,move away from that family and kill someone else for shock value,or how about kill no one else so soon? Wait a while longer. Also Shannon was the one who saw Walt,will they just throw that away? Not a good idea really.

shannon, is there a curse on the ruthaford family, extended or otherwise. Is it's name Jack. What could shannon's death possibly solve. Of course then the producers would have to come up with another female to kill. They can't kill Clair, then who would take care of Aaron, and raise him so that he's not evil. They can't kill Sun because she has to be reunited with Jin. Same with rose. And as for Kate, well you can't kill kate. And there is no way they are going to kill either of the two new hotties.

Still I don't think that Anna is going to be the cause of death. The main reason being that i don't think that they will be reunited with the rest of the surviors in time. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Could it be Rose? As we seen her husband asking is thier a woman name rose still alive etc, When they all meet up he will be in for a shock? Just a thought.

i thought the only point of boone was that he would die and it would effect shannon who would become a more important character as a result. if shannon is killed off both her and boone would seem totally pointless characters. i mean apart from shannons romance with sayid she hasnt really had a very big impact on any other character (and i imagine sayid would get over it). also it seemed the writers made a bit of a link between shannon and walt what with her getting vincent and seeing him in teh forest, and since walt looks to be very important i thought shannon would have a bigger role to play going forward. but meh, maybe not i guess.

if i was to have guessed who it would be before seeing this i would have said claire. i thought maybe once she gave birth her use would come to an end. the psychic said danger would surround the child if she didnt raise him, but this could be just what the writers want. it would also send charlie over the edge, we have already seen the statue he has.

Damon Lindelof posted on the fuselage yesterday or the day before not to believe any spoilers/promos about the death - they are all wrong.

Despite this though I'd be certain that it will be

Shannon, mainly because the next episode is hers. There have also been rumors that it will be a murder and we won't find out whodunnit until the end of the next episode - which is Ana Lucia's. It has then be stated that the in the next episode after this we will find out why they did it.

But take it all with a grain of salt...
