don't think so but you can archive anything you want.

aye i know about the archiving, just thought there might be a way to create folders as i think it's better than archiving and the star method

Have you used the label feature?

You can create labels and label the items and then archive them then you can also add filters ie when a mail from boards comes in apply a label and skip the inbox (same as folders really)

What The Troll said: If you go to the help centre and type in the keyword "folder" you'll be led to a page called "How do I use labels?", which outlines the Google Way (tm) of keeping your mail under control without folders, which it deems inflexible.

Quick summary - a flat label space will handle most of your organisation. To declutter your inbox, archive. The search facility will find anything, whether you've labelled it or not.
