VIN = Chassis Number???

    Are VIN and Chassis Number the same? I am trying to taxt my new motor and i need the Chassis number.

    The number I have is of the form "WVWZZZ.........".

    yes there the same. VIN No = Vehicle Identification Number

    I noted VIN numbers have been used on EU Toyotas since the 90's but they are incomplete in that they do not provide the model year.
