just found out that there will be a new nokia E-series!

    Series Handsets

    Expected Q1 2006
    12th October 2005

Not to be outdone by Sony Ericsson, Nokia announced three new Series 60 models under the E-series, targeted for business users. The new models, which will be debuting in Q1 of 2006, are the E60, E61 and E70 - all three being based on the latest Symbian OS v9.1 and Series 60 3rd Edition.

All the models feature PTT (Push-to-talk), VoIP and other SIP-based call services, giving users freedom of choice. Of course, being targeted at business users, the phones boast of new features for remote device management - including device lock and device wipe - easing up the lives of your IT department. They will also support corporate mobile e-mail solutions like BlackBerry Connect and Nokia Business Center.

    The Nokia E60
Series 60 is becoming more powerful, with the E60 boasting both WCDMA and WLAN connectivities - the sole drawback being the small screen that is common to S60 devices. From the looks of it, I'd say the keys look comfortable already, when it comes to one-handed text entry. The E60 is slated to work with GSM900/1800/1900 and WCDMA2100 networks.

    The Nokia E61
All geared up for mobile e-mail. The first Series 60 phone to feature a QWERTY keyboard, the screen 16-million color screen is much wider, and this is definitely appreciated. The E61 supports multiple e-mail clients, and offers seamless, secure connectivity. Built-in viewers for documents, spreadsheets, presentations PDF files and compressed files (ZIP), as well as editing functionality for docs/spreadsheets/presentations are provided. The E61 is compatible with GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA2100 networks.

    The Nokia E70
Although it looks like any other Series 60 phone on the outside, the Nokia E70 opens up to provide the user with a QWERTY keyboard on the inside, for faster data entry. Like the E61, the E70 comes with a host of document viewers and editors. This device will come in two flavors - one for Europe and Asia (GSM900/1800/1900/WCDMA2100 networks) and one for Americas (GSM850/1800/1900).

take a look at the nokia sites, gsmarena.com
