PIN required for 'Other Channels'

I had my PIN reset last week (couldn't find original number, and first viewing card replaced, so no last 4 digits to remember). I deleted the adult channels, as I didn't want my 10 year old asking about 'Red Hot Wives' etc.

However, every time I now try to access 'Other Channels', I keep being prompted to type in the PIN, which is a pain, as I watch News 24 and BBC3 quite a lot.

Checked all options regarding PIN, but no success.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I went through this. You have to ring Sky. The number is on the viewing card. They will ask for the viewing card, your address and your security question. Then they tell you your current pin. I had to wait on hold for 22 mins. A right pain. You will have to put in the pin every time or so it seems.

I've had this problem as well. There may be light at the end of the tunnel.

I have a Pace digibox and Sky+, and if you switch off the Parental Control PIN Restrictions (Services, 3 , PIN, then the red button) - I find the PIN number is no longer needed for 'other channels'.

Yes, if you try to remove the adult channels with PIN protection, the knock-on effect is that you need the PIN to enter "other channels"

    Its really either/or.

    lads,
We are being asked for a PIN on ANY 18 rated movie on any Sky Movies Channel even though I have no restriction on the 18 rated programes in the parental control screen. However, I have removed the adult channels. Am I to assume that removing the adult channels means you will be asked for a PIN on all 18 rated movies even if not on an adult channel???

    Sounds logical.
