    Posting your passwords on the web... Nasty people can unenroll you from your courses, email your lecturers nasty things and submit blank pages as your homeworks.

    Hmm well you'll need to know firstly who this person is, and second their login, to do anything with the password. But still agreed this is not a clever thing to do.

    well i thought that as long as they didnt have my student number it really wouldnt matter any way but of course in my ignorance i could well be wrong.
    as far as i know and it being a fact, enrollment ended on sept 30th for electives, hey but maybe a time machine??
    The title ucd CONNECT password to me suggested that it might just be related to ucd website, not boards for any who enquire.
    And for whoevr thinks that i posted the passwords of my friends macka and manzy is wrong, wow......he does no more than two people.

    there is a nice/informative way of sayin you shouldn't do something and your way just calm it down a bit lads, not as computer literate/passionate as others, i appologise for any harm my ignorance has caused your brains

    Whats that got to do with anything? Your password is valid for your entire time in UCD.

    Does this whole thing affect you in some deep and profound manner, i mean this really has very little to do with you, it wasnt your password, so why take such huge offence?

    I' have not taken the least bit of offense.

    And since you posted in a public forum its everything got to do with me.

    I was jsut wondering if you were a bit confused and thought that the ucd connect password was jsut to register your modules, when in fact you will use it for the 3/4 years you're in ucd. That is all.

    Anyway, yeah... My password is pretty weird too. Every second letter is the same one. You can almost say it, seems to be done in syllables.

    Sorry to be hard on you, but for computer systems your password is the only way to authenticate yourself. And if someone gets your password they can really do messy things. There are not nice people out there. And student numbers aren't too difficult to get. It's the password that's supposed to be impossible to get. :)

    Just never give your passwords out.
