In Outlook Express, Every time i do a send receive, whether manually or automatically (timed), the same messages with same content and timestamp comes into my inbox. The email is auto-generated.
I am using POP. A copy is also being sent to a seperate email address which uses IMAP and doesnt seem to be having a problem.

All other emails are being recieved fine - but for some reason - this one email just keeps appearing !

    Any clues?

With POP, if the mail doesn't get deleted from the server, it'll keep being pulled down each time you check that account. If it happens with any mails going to that account, it's possible your client is set to not delete messages off the server, in OE I think you can set that in the account properties. If it's just one particular message, and others get through fine, it's possible the message got corrupted somehow, if you have some other kind of access to the mailbox (webmail maybe), you could try manually deleting it through that. Otherwise you'll probably have to contact the support for whoever maintains the mailbox.

    telnet into your mail server...

    e.g. start->run->cmd

    telnet mail.eircom.net 110
    user username
    pass password

    list(to list the emails...)
dele 5(this deletes the 5th email.... and yeah its "dele")
after you selected to delete some mails you have to type quit:
    quit
to view the header info from that email just use:
    top 3 5
top 3(the number of the email you want to view) 5(the first 5 lines... change to see more etc.)

    www.mail2web.com

Enter your email address and password. Should login you in. If not choose the advanced view and enter the mail server info as well as username and password. Then delete the mail causing the prob.

www.mail2web.com is gonna be more user friendly then telnet, I'd suggest it also.

What are you basing this on? How do you know the increase of spam to your inbox is due to using mail2web.com?

life experience... give anything(bank, website, etc...) a valid email and they'll sell it to make some money...
But this is all slightly off topic :)
