Mongrel Magazine has gone online www.mongrel.ie

Please drop in and check it out. Any useful criticism appreciated. The readership is in excess of 96,000 and we are now working on the online version continously-so any input/advice would be appreciated.

For those of you NOT familiar with Mongrel-The magazine maintains a 100% pick-up, with a 96,000 readership Mongrel has established itself as the leading youth title in Ireland. We have set up long term promotional ties with leading venues in Dublin including Rira, Village, Crawdaddy, TBMC and Sugar club.

The success of the magazine has been documented across all major Irish newspapers including in recent months The Sunday Independent, The Sunday Times, The Tribune, The Irish Independent, The Pheonix as well being as nominated on the Irish Times ‘hot’ index . It is now Ireland’s leading style magazine for young professionals and students nationwide.

The magazines independent and experimental style has made the space uniquely influential in attracting brand-leaders to promote exclusively with Mongrel such as 55DSL, Diesel, Miss Sixty, Energie, Killah, American Apparel and Grab. We showcased a nine-page campaign for Puma SS05 range photographed by Jurgen Teller and, this Autumn, Mongrel is being used exclusively in print to launch the new Topshop/ Topman range and stores in Ireland.

    regards

    Cindy

Mneh to the fashion stuff. Just not my thing. The photo shoots are interesting but I'm not into clothes.

The magazine is great though. Have been reading it since the first issue. Keep up the good work!!!

I'm too lazy to download the plug-in to be able to look at the fashion shoot in that particular issue (using college PC) but I have seen previous fashion shoots in Mongrel and I think they've been really cool. They models usually look like they can move and get around in the clothes comapred to the dainty, unwearable stuff you get in other magazines!

I don't like mongrel at all. It's all style and little substance. The fashion shoots look nice, but the clothes are pretty samey and overpriced.

I always get the feeling Mongrel are trying to copy D|Side magazine, alas unsuccessfully.

I've actually got a copy of mongrel here - there aren't any prices on the fashion pages... Fashion is ALL style over substance, this copy is over 70% articles, D-Side was bar nothing the unholiest piece of **** I have ever skimmed in the newsagents filled with rehashed press releases, Mongrel's the best magazine in Ireland, better than the Slate, and that is the stupidest post I've ever read.

Not only that but of that 70% articles the vast proportion are well written and interesting (probably more due to the writing rather than the subject matter).

Mongrel magazine is the finest free magazine around and thus the best value for money - couldn't get the August edition a few weeks ago though - I pick it up from Tower Records in Wicklow Street which is the only place I've seen it around.

There's nothing stupid about my post. It's my opinion.
Having said that, i've read the latest edition of MOngrel and it is better than previous editions. But still trying too hard to be trendy, IMO.

btw, you registered just to make this one post to attack my opinion? Could you make it *any* more obvious you are affiliated with the magazine?
