Is there anything decent happening in Dublin for Halloween? Not some lame pissup in a pub, but a halloween party or something like that?

Oh and by the way, this comic is so exciting. And it totally doesn't have an agenda or anything. No really.

Theres a halloween dressup in the gingerman on the 29th pet - was thinking of heading along to that. check the events forum for info on it. must work out a costume now :P

The Law Soc has the Galway trip during Halloween... don't know if I'll go or not. (sigh) it's no fun when you can't/don't drink alcohol.

Halloween in dublin is very much a suburban affair. In the city it's just another night. But every little community that circles it goes completely insane.

I really don't understand people who go to a nightclub on halloween, fancy dress or no it's gonna be an excersize in tedium. I know what I'll be doing, I'll be going back to my roots: Drinking cans in a field infront of a massive bonfire the wee neighbourhood kids have built. In return for their warming services I shall set off fireworks with my friends for the kids joy and amusement. The oldies shall be out with fold-up tables full of cocktail sausages and mulled wine thanking us for (drunkenly) supervising and providing fireworks for their kids to watch, and also keeping the place free from invading knackers. The kids will be hyper after all the sweets they've eaten. As the oldies start going to bed we will break out an illicit substance bent on making us relax infront of the large burning embers infront of us, while we consider what would be funny but not malicious to burn.

you c**t, the first trip of the year is always the best, and i have a new poncho (or drug rug, both work ) to show of and im in ****in belgium...

but on a lighter note, im gonna try and make it back for at least one trip before christmas...
