Typing properly has many advantages.

1. People can understand you instead of having to decypher your code writing.
2. Help you later on in life when you get a job, you can't write a business letter/CV in "text speak".
3. It will help you prepare for your English exam if you are doing the junior and leaving cert.

what I don't get is why this text speak can be handy on mobiles where you are constraint to 160 characters or whatever, boards does not charge you 10c or whatever a text is if you go over this.

I pondered long and hard on this (that's a lie) and decided to vote YES. Ban her. I may have anger issues, but at least I can take a hint when I'm not wanted. (also a lie)I could take the clearly superior position of laughing from afar, and not getting involved, but the repeated misspelling of my name....*gets irrationally angry again*

pussycat_doll, here's an offer. I ban you for a week. You post elsewhere on boards, using normal levels of txtspk (based on the general level of usage elsewhere on the site, i.e. little). If you pass the English exam, you can come back.
