Moderators - move this if you feel it inappropriate.

Three orders shipped from sendit.com on 27 and 28 September,
Some DVDs won on ebay posted from London on 1 October.

No sign of any of them.

    Anyone else?

I was just going over my play.com account and noticed there are lots of things that were posted on the 27th last month that haven't arrived yet.

Oddly... I had a few things posted from them on the 5th of October and 1 of them managed to arrive on it's own... don't know what happened to it's brothers yet though...

There is some sort of unofficial dispute at Portlaoise which handles all international mail.

I'm still waiting on a parcel sent by a friend of mine from the UK on the 16th of last month.

It's more than a tad silly.

I've had one package take three weeks from the UK, then a recent one that took four days! Hmm.

Got an email reply from them. Probably form mail.
Thank you for email. I am sorry to hear of the delays with your mail.It
is not possible for to track a ordinary mail item in the postal system
as we process up to two million mail items per day. However if this item
is not delivered in the next few days then may I please suggest that you
complete a "Missing Damaged Delayed Mail" form which is available from
any post office. When completed please send the form to the freepost
address provided on the form and our administration staff will
investigate the matter on your behalf. An Post is committed to quality
of service in mail processing and deliveries. As the final part of the
company's automation strategy, a major re-organisation of mail
processing has taken place. This, coupled with increased volumes at
this time of year, has resulted in mail not meeting despatch/delivery
times.I am sorry that I cannot be of any further help at this point. We
understand the inconvenience this causes but ask that you accept our
    apologies.

A package posted from Amazon.com on august 22nd still hasnt arrived for me, I've given up on it and gotten a refund. Hopefully it'll arrive eventually and i'll get my dvd for free! Doubtful though, it's definitely lost.

I bought a gift set dvd Sept from play.com, never arrived. I got an email a few days saying that Royal Mail returned it to them.
Bloody dvd never even reached our shores :(
Play.com have said they will refund the cost of the purchase to my credit card.

There is major problems in an post, I reckon Harney has got a hidden agenda to privatise an post and there is infighting. It currently takes 10 days for a letter to get from Tralee to Killarney,
I'm considering starting a pony express myself :D

Well - I'm in the UK and there's no problem sending post out of here - I sent a parcel to Skopje, Macedonia by Airmail and it got there within a week, and apparantly they didn't even have to bribe the postman or anything!

Letters don't seem to be as bad. A cheque posted from England last Friday arrived with me on Tuesday. It's anything bigger than a letter that's getting held up.

    16 days and counting. :(
