I got a bit tired of the terrible play in the red cow on mondays so i played this last night for the first time, have to say i was very impressed great tournmanet, it's probably the first time I've played a poker tourny live with good players

it's nice for once to have raises respected. didn't see much for the night but somehow stole my way to the final table and finished 3rd, I thought there would be a bigger field but i think the red cow has decreased the numbers.

I think collette doherty was at the final table, anyone know if that's the same collette doherty from the hendonmob?

yeh I played that myself. Finished 12th when I made a risky call with KQ against AJ preflop. Was down to 6000 and figured it was make or break time. It wasn't you that called me was it? I was in table 2 seat 1 when we got down to 2 tables. Blue top, 'hendon mob' cap, extremely good looking

Well done on third, it is a very good game and you will generally be up against decent players. I haven't played this in a while, how many played it last night?

I'm sure that was THE Collette Doherty, she's a very good, aggressive player but I dont think she plays in a lot of tournaments these days. AFAIK, she was the first European to play in the WSOP... although maybe she was just the first female player... not sure...

Nope, wasn't me

I was on table 1 at that stage.

Just over 50 runners, yeah she got a huge cheap lead from the early stages and bullied her way through the field, she doesn't take kindly to re-raises

I played it too, got my chip stack up to 11k in the first level with 2 really good calls. Then I ran AK into AA for 4k and started to get slightly anted away. Eventually did the remaining 5.5k on a monster bluff with ten high, misreading vivian for weakness when he actually had a house of queens over twos. Doh!
