    I've borrowed this thread from another forum, but I thought I'd share the highlights with the good people at boards.ie, because I love ya all too much! :D

    It's basicly spectacular images and phenoenoms(sp?) etc. but I really thought a lot of the stuff was too good not to show you!! It's pretty long with lots of images....not one for the 56krs ....

    A rare "positive" lightning bolt. It originates from the top of a large storm cloud, instead of the negatively charged cloud base. It can travel as far as 10 miles horizontally from the top of the cloud to the ground, packing as much as 340,000 amps. About ten times as powerful as your average lightning bolt.

    An extinct (or so they believe) species of giant shark. Some believe they still exsist (or a more evolved version does),but at extreme depths at the bottom of our oceans. Feeding on giant squid, sperm whales, and anything that happens to come across it's path at that depth.
