Im in UCD and theres no way thats true. All the Trinners Ive ever met were sound out... think its the buildings that people are afraid of it reminds them of aristocracy/ autocracy whatever. I'm with Johns original comment on this one. The school of BESS are like the county of Cork or the province of Quebec. So different and against the grain etc. that they should really just go split off on their own.

Can't say I've ever heard a sci/eng/arts faculty member or student say anything in that spirit..
