Im going to NY in november so if I buy a PSP there and bring it back to Ireland, will it explode or anything if I plug it in to charge?

Ah, you'll be fine, just buy yourself a plug adaptor and you'll be flying. The power adaptor is designed for 100-250 Volts (we're on 220-240 here), so it'll have no problems.

You dont need a stepdown adapter. You dont need an adapter at all in fact.

Just use a standard figure of 8 power lead (like from a ghetto blaster).......

Just plug it into the PSP a/c power supply and youre off.
