Sky Pin Request

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. The lack of search is my only excuse.

The Horror channel asks for a pin no everytime I try to put it on. I haven't seen this on other channels, I don't have the movie package. I checked the parental lock section in the services/set up menu and there is no apparent restriction. It's a pain. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way around it? Thanks.

That'll be the French government's doing - something to do with making sure their population doesn't have to suffer foreign TV broadcasts in a language other than French.

    Xenophobia alert! Xenophobia alert!!

Its the BRITISH Governments doing - well, Ofcom

A channel which shows movies or other BBFC age-rated programming can now show 15's programmes all day and 18's movies from 8 (rather than 10), assuming they're PIN locked on Sky (and are only on Sky, at that). This cannot be disabled

As a result, Sky PIN locked the Other Channels menu, as using this overrides the PIN locking. This -can- be disabled - turn off all parental controls.

I think this happened with the last update (the one that changed the background).
Anyway the pin is the last 4 digits of your card number.

Found this out the other night. Wanted to watch Chronicles of riddick (not great) and was asked for a pin even though parental controls are off.
Grabbed manual and it tols me last 4 digits of card and so put them in and it was fine.

Yeah... It came in with the last update.

It won't even let you watch a post-watershed programme recorded on Sky+ if you try to watch it during the day.
