Is this a good deal does anyone know? Does it have a DVDRW? Any more info on it anywhere? What is the max resolution on the screen?

    Any feedback appreciated:)

    That's a good deal.

Is it just me but I'm very disappointed by this laptops specs. I expected a centrino or turion processor, that amd is a heavy (3.6kg) desktop replacement with maybe an hour and a half battery life at best.

A latitude 810 on dell outlet or the acer aspire 5024wlmi would be much better value in my opinion.

    Full specs available here

Doesn't look great to me either. RAM, hard drive, and processor are pretty average. I think for that kind of cash you'd bet a better deal with Dell. I'll pass on that one!

Son, the link in the first post gives very little information. It says DVD Burner, not whether or not its DVDRW, it says the size of the screen, not the Max resolution

Also, I don't think there's any such thing as a dvd burner that doesn't rewrite.

Whatever about the laptop, that mic/headset looks pretty OK for €14.99 (for all you Skypers out there).

Yer wan in the picture sure looks like she's having a good time with it...:D

It looks a pretty well decent deal to me, it will even play the likes of BF2.

Fine for most people. I have 1GB in my laptop and 512MB in my Work PC and my desktop at home. I don't really notice the difference. Even in games to be honest.

I'd rather be having this: Compaq for 1249.

    http://www.pcworld.ie/productDetails.aspx?productRID=610&image=Compaq

    Specifications:
    AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
    2000MHz System Bus
    512Kb Cache
    1024Mb RAM (2x512Mb)
    80 Gb Hard Drive
    DVD ReWriter MultiDrive
    15.4" Widescreen BrightView Display
    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
128Mb ATi Xpress 200M dedicated graphics
    1 year FREE warranty

A workmate has one. She's a bigg'un. You won't be whipping it out on the bus to have a play without making the person beside you seriously uncomfortable.

PCWorld are a lot more competitive (one some things) than they used to be.

ooh, good link ronanm. wouldn't even have thought of looking at pcworld tbh, just on past experience.

that pcworld machine is nice, a friend was looking at it a couple of weeks ago, only problem is the gfx, shame though cos otherwise it wipes the floor with the lidl machine (spec wise, guarantee wise not so sure)
