    Hi All,

Have a bit of an emergency here!

Planning on going to the Full Moon party on the 18th, but booked flights from Ko Saumi early on the 19th by accident.

Anyone have any idea if there is Boats going from Ko Phangan to Ko Samui before 6am?
Being the night of the Full moon im hoping there might be a slight chance!

    Thanks, N.

There might be, but you will have to be leaving the full moon party early as its a long trip and might end up being pricey. But if your leaving the next day i wouldnt risk it. 18th is early for a full moon, sure it aint a half moon ?

Hi, Thats no problem. I had to the same thing last year. Boats run all night long to and from Koh Phangan which bring you to Koh Samui. The place they bring you in Koh Samui is a about a 10min drive from the Airport. There are always plenty of Taxis available. The boat journey takes approx 30min.

The Full Moon Party is on the 18 October and 16 November.

Oh and RasTa what do you mean the full moon sounds a bit early??? The Full moon can be any date of the month!

Oh yeah the place to get the boat to Koh Samui is from Sunset beach, a 10min walk from where the Full Moon Party takes place.

    Visit http://fullmoonparty-thailand.com for more info.

Have a blast, they are crazy nights. Ive been lucky enough to go to two already. Ill be going for another in March :)

Im Ko Samui at the moment. Really looking forward to staying on one place for a few days!

    Thanks again. N

I'll be at that full moon party myself, can't wait!
While its true that you will be able to get a boat i doubt you will want to. The party will still be going hard at 6a.m. in the morning. When the sun comes up its the best bit. Can't wait to get back to KPN. 3 days to go!

Yeah you will have no probs getting a speed boat back to Koh Samui on the night of the full moon party.

Be warned though, you will be packed onto the boats with other passengers but if your leaving early then you should be okay.

I went over to the party last year with the intention of heading back to koh samui at 3am, didnt get back till 6pm the following day, atmosphere was excellent couldnt leave.

Cant remember how many county gaa jerseys i seen at the party, us irish are everywhere.

Sydney is the worst for that, especially anywhere down around Bondi.

Managed to get our flights changed to the 20th so should be ok in catching the flights that morning.

There is now a rumour going around that the FMP will be changed to the 19th because of some Buddahist Festival on the 18th - which is going to screw up our travelling plans completly - running out of time over there and really dont have time on extend out flight dates again.

Tomorrow there will be confirmation of the correct date.
    Fingers crossed!

As for all the Irish - we are everywhere! The place we are staying in is half Irish! But the sessions are mighty!
