PC Building problem

Hey folks, im about to start building a PC for the first time (as in in a few minutes). Got a quick question first.

I know i have to keep the motherboard up off the case or else it will short circut and i know i have to use spacers to do this. My question is where do the spacers go. Do they go in the round rings in the mother board or are they for screws...or both. Maybe i just screw them into the case and let the motherboard sit on top of it (which i doubt especially as the screws look smaller than the spacers)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    They go into the case..
Depending on the size of the board relative to the holes, thats where they go.. Then the screws screw into them

push the graphics card in ...making sure that the side where the ports are, that u connect everything in is not catching on anything....make sure all the pins line up and gently push it in to the slot!!!...hope you have an earth strap to earth urself

just wondering, how delicate is the cpu fan. I ask this because ive been having problems with it. As far as i can tell only one side can be fastened down at a time which has caused problems. The actuall part that sits into the cpu actually came off the fan although i put it back on that cant be good.

Is it more than likely ****ed?

There is no way to tell tbh but you should be ok.
They can be a b*stard to get into position sometimes. You may have to be firm with them to get them to sit in properly. I assume you have checked that the CPU you have is compatible with the mobo?

Yeah i bought them in a bundle from Komplett. Actually says on the motherboard thats its designed for use with the processor. I assumed it was ****ed, now it might not be. You know what they say, false hope is better than no hope :D

What kind of motherboard, cpu and heatsink and fan is this?

You put the CPU in the socket on the motherboard. Then the heatsink clips over this. You have to put thermal paste between the cpu and the heatsink. Somtimes it can be very stiff to clip the heatsink on. But you shouldn't force it. But it should be a firm fit and shouldn't rock or be loose at all. Then you attach the fan to the heatsink.
