yeah to get your bonus 200 chips i believe you have to register by 9pm any later and you just get your 1000. i think its got about 100 runners these days. theres good parking and a bar in the poker hall. the locals seem sound and despite the drinking the intimidation level is non existant. it will be a nice pipe opener for the new car.

Get there for 8.45pm and get your 200 bonus chips, on top of the 1000 starting chips.

Will be close on 100 runners and riders.

Very Good Buzz, Good Tourney, Good Start required to keep in front of the blinds.

It is self dealt, but they are all regulars at this stage so there's very little time wasted

Good Prize Pool as well, loads of re-buys going on around the place keeping the Organisors very busy. ....hence big pots are often the norm.

Some good players up there, so tread carefully.

To get your bonus 200 chips you must be registered by 9. Being in the queue is not enough. I would recommend turning up at 8.45 to be sure.

Unless you are at the table with 'All-In Paddy' or 'Junior' !

(Who are sound by the way, but definitely 'characters')

Not from me.I was motoring along nicely up to about 35k with 20 odd left, average was around 13k.I was hitting flops nicely then I took a few hits, my A Q comes up against KK on a Q high flop...I lost about 15k on that one.My Aces were cracked by J 10..it was one of those nights you play well to build up a big stack and in the course of about 20min you take a big hit.

Big Dragon was still there when I left,he had a nice stack when I last checked.Good luck tonight Culchie (not that you need it)

Mr Dragon Exited with two tables left. It was chopped in the end by a Drogheda man & a Balbriggan man. A swords man who may or may not have been Scotty from here was 4th. The final table also had 3 players from Skerries.

For any of you interested there is a Pub Poker Championship starting next week. Heats will take place in Drogheda pubs and are €60 Freezeouts. The top 10% will go through to a final which is also a freezeout. There are 6 heats lined up with another couple in the pipeline. 1st Prize could be as much as €5000.

Went to the Tournament, was doing okay, self destructed looking at two bets from a Super tanker who had moved to the table with A and bad kicker. Needless to say his kicker was something nice like a Jack. Well run tournament, the cash game afterwards looked interesting. Junior was at my table, very funny character. Not many women at tournament, in fact i think i was the only woman there. Definitely would go back. Self dealing was okay, because everyone at table knew the story and there was only a few pots where it had to be split. Hopefully next time i will make better use of the cards. Drive down and back was good, gave the car its first drive outside of Dublin so enjoyed that.

is junior the big chap with the shock of blonde hair, wears jumpers ?.
last time i was there on the drive back it was pitch black and i was relieved i had got back onto the M1, driving on the errie barron M1 when i eventually see and go to overtake a car and as i got level i looked across as you do only to see the driver slumped in his seal out of it with just the odd sign of life. i nearly shat myself until i noticed it was a left hand drive!.

Nope. Junoir is bald. Unmistakeable fellow. Wears a floppy hat and shades once he gets to final table (which he does with regularity).

Good to see you up there Smurph. Normally there are a couple of other women. I was about to come and say hello but you had gone!

Wasn't me I'm afraid. I can't play rebuys for ****. Live or online. Play way too tight at the start and by the time I get going I'm too shortstacked.
By the way the Balbriggan man, Barry, (he could be the big blonde guy that wears jumpers!! lol) is a Swords man really. He rang me at half eight this morning to tell me he was on his way to buy a new PC with his winnings.
