Hi all... I have an Amillo D1845 (Fujitsu Siemens) Laptop and find that the battery goes in it after less than an Hours work. I know that the Pentium4 chip is severe on Bat Life but didnt think it was this bad. Is there any way that i can prolong battery life or is there any small device that i can re-charge it with when i am giving presentations..its very very annoying...... .

    Cheers for help..

a colleague of mine told me never to have the power plug and battery running at the same time. He only leaves the power plug in until the battery is charged up; then he takes out the power plug and runs on the battery until it needs charging again. Sometimes he takes the battery out and runs the machine on the power plug only. He reckons this helps the battery life as it is not being constantly charged.

Not sure if there is any merit to this but......

hey i had a 1845 too, bat was only an hour then went down to 20 mins and was too hot. i bought mine from harvey normans, there was a batch of 13 defective ones (which i was not told). which 1845 model was it? i wud reccomend u ring fujitsu with your model and serial num etc and they tell you the history of it, or at least u can get it collected by them and a new battery put in if you have warranty.

    It was the Amilo D1845 P4 3.2 - Widescreen..
When i rang Fujitsu they told me because of its high Spec and pentium 4 chip, it was not great on Power ..
Wil try what you told me though and see what happens...

    Thanks for help!!
