Tough question, I normally don't like anyone apart from my county team, Cavan. If I was pushed to say one county, it would probably be Armagh.

    theres only 5 countiesl listed?

surely a better question would be, who is your favourite from these 5 counties?

id say cork and they prob have the best supporters in the country also...

    Clare
I'm from Dublin and i would have to say Wexford from the list because of how much they have improved over the last 2 years and Matty Forde plays for them.

Not from the list i agree with mchurl. Has to be Tyrone

I picked Galway because they are my favourite from the counties listed.

My favourite would have to be Armagh though. They don't get the respect they deserve for all the hard work they put in.

Its a tough one between Limerick and Clare for me.I picked Limerick but now I feel sorry for not picking Clare.Still though they are good teams who proved themselves better this year.

A county outside that list is Mayo. They were criticised heavily this year which they didn't deserve.

There was a thread like this done a while back which someone might be able to resurrect, if it is still there. I think a lot of the regulars here posted in it.

From Mayo, always have sided towards Galway (once they are not playing Mayo!).

In Fairness, Mayo did deserve criticism this year. There were reasons for it, but still they were brutal. I don't blame the players too much, the whole set up was deflated this year from the very start. Too much messing going on within the county, selection of players, personal relationships etc...

They did not have one good game, although I admit they did keep the score respectable against Kerry, but Kerry took the foot of the pedal in last 10 mins as well.

I think every county's goal each year is to improve on last year's performance. From the start of this Championship however, Mayo supporters knew that they had little chance of even matching last year, let alone bettering it.

For hurling it has to be Galway, especially after the Kilkenny match.
    For football, Tyrone.
I must say that both the hurling and football finals were cracking games and irrespective of who was playing it was good for both sports that the best teams got to the final and that the finals were very close.
Sport was the winner this year

    Not one of them.

Antrim for being a Hurling outpost.

Im from Offaly but i always support Wexford (once we're not up against them) and in Football, im living in Galway City, have a Galway GF, So without even really noticing, i have come to support them

hurling - waterford or limerick, cant decide, would prob edge with waterford.
football - hmmm, dunno really.honestly, dont have one.

    Cork for me.

There only county that year in year out go to try and win the all-ireland in both codes. There record may not be the best in football but down through the years there big flaw has been the dual players and most playing hurling instead and robbed in few games I can remember 1976 and 1987 spring to mind..

There hurling fans are the best in the country they had 70,000 this year for the semi final.

They always add coulour to the occassion and play hurling always the way it should be played.

I'm from Wexford, but I do have a soft spot for Clare in hurling for some reason, presumably because they seem to be in a similar situation to ourselves. As for football, I haven't really any preferences, though I must say that I do love to watch both Galway and Tyrone play simply for the entertainment.

Wexford for me probably. You've got to feel for them a bit in their annual Kilkenny defeat in the hurling, and Jason Ryan taught me PE for 3 years and he was always a great laugh, so I'll always look out for his results in football.

Right back at you. Everyone (bar a few) in Clare supports Galway when we're not playing ye.
Was at All Irelands in 86,87,88, 2001 supporting them. Actually alot of people in Clare in the 80s would have Galway flags and jerseys out for the games.
As you would also see Clare flags outside shops and houses in Gort when Clare are playing a big game.
It's a funny relationship because our other 2 neighbours Limerick and Tipp would be deeply disliked in Clare (and vice verse), maye because we play more regularly -saying that Clare and Galway have met a good few times since 95 and relationships have held!!

In football Tyrone, dour, steely, intimidating. Always beat the Dubs and Kerry. What's not to like.

From Carlow! So success is alien to me, but i still keep supporting in the hope of a rare good day (like hurlers beating Antrim last weekend!)
But 2nd team would be have to be Galway. I was born there & have a lot of relations there.
Also they are an entertaining side to watch in bode codes.

Has to be Clare in the hurling for me. Cant figure out is it because of the great team they had when Loughnane was in charge or because they are our neightbours. It must be because of the 1995 - 2000 team, because Tipp are our neighbours and I don't like them so much.

In the football, it has to be Down. They always produce great footballers even when they are not going so well.

ps. Why isn't there more options in the poll?

I would have voted Clare for their hurling but opted for Galway for the dual-sporting county that they are: Hurlers & Footballers have received sucess.

    Jealousy will eat you up.
For the record,I like Galway in the hurling and Kerry in the bogball.
Not too fond of any northern teams in either code.Too negative and dour.

I suppose I always had a soft spot for Waterford when I was younger considering half the family is from there but in recent years my liking has waned somewhat.

In the football I would have to say Galway, always an entertaining side I think.

As a Kilkenny chap I'd have to say Waterford. Not because they are neighbours, but because of the pure passion they seem to put into every game. Kilkenny don't really have that at times, but then again, who needs it when the team oozes such skill :)

That's one more than a lot of counties. Cavan aren't mentioned...are you jealous of them? Well, they are All Ireland handball champions, hold a record number of Ulster football titles, and won an All Ireland Final in New York..so they do have the pedigree;)

Ah sure Declan all you have to is look back through the years.

In 1994 everyone wanted Offaly to win ie it would be great for hurling.
In 1996 it was the same.

In 2007 Limerick were the worst in the world for beating Waterford.

People forget that Limerick havn't won an All Ireland in Donkeys years.

But as the Millwall fans sing "No one likes us we don't care!!!";)
