If you're willing to add €100 to your budget, and queue early in the morning with a lot of cash in your pocket:

    Definitely worth it.

Have to agree with seamus. LIDL & ALDI regularly have very good deals on both laptops & Desktops. I am stll using my 'Medion' desktop purchased over 5 years ago in ALDI.

Although I was recently looking at the very reasonably priced laptops on :- www.dell.ie/

At least you can order to the exact spec you require ;) , and they are assembled here in Ireland, and delivered to your door as well, Their Inspiron 9300 with 17" Widescreen (Delivered with onsite warranty), looks very tempting to me, even though they call it a Notebook !. Hmmm.
