Went to see this and was expecting the typical Guy Ritchie small-time gangster drivel, but I got a whole lot more than I bargained for. It was actually pretty good. A really involving film, you're guaranteed to be talking about it with your mates when you come out of it. Jason Statham wasn't half-bad in it either!
Anyone else seen Revolver? What'd ye think?

Very poor. I thought it was really bad. I think Guy ritchie just tried to be too clever for his own good and we ended up with a jumbled mess of a movie. I mean Ritchie just leaves too many plot holes and loose ends for the plot to be in anyway convincing. Ive heard many peoples interpretations of this movie, from the plausible to the downright ridiculous, but every single theory is ridlled with innacuracies and flaws. I actually think its quite a pretentious movie which revels in the fact that Its hard to figure out whats going. It must be said though that the acting is quite good and the actors do make the most of the limited material(very poor script imo). Also what was guy ritcjie thinking doing the cartoon style sequence. People already say hes just a tarantino wannabe and thats just adding fuel to the fire(I felt it was quite out of place in this movie unlike in kill bill).

So all in all I was disapointed in this movie and thought it was just plain bad. In fairness though it is good to see a director trying something different and somewhat innovative and I wish more directors would try new things rather than the same old abc hollywood plots.

absolutely hated this film. came out of it really pissed off that he tried to pass that piece of rubbish off as a cohesive film. If i had been shown that and been told "this is just a demo, theres obviously more to come" id say, ya cool but there needs to be a lot to leave the viewer with anything other then disdain. Just came out thinking of the audacity of the man ! fair enough he tried something new, but dont advertise it as a gangster movie if its in fact an advertisment for him and madonna's religeon. Everytime i think about this film i just get annoyed! Fair enough he asks questions, but doesn;t provide enough info to actually base any sort of answer on besides wild speculation. Almost worth going to just for the reaction of the crowd at the end when it just ends without warning seemingly in mid film, leaving an entire audience sitting like idiots in the cinema waiting for more when, oh wait, theres no credits! so after 5mins of muttering in the dark, the lights come on and everyone grumbles off. Shocking, cant believe people let this be released and advertised as a major ganster blockbuster!

Thats what pis*ed me off about it to. On the ads its made look like a typical guy ritchie movie and theres no indication its gonna be lthe sort of movie it was. Thats did make me feel a bit conned and I think it was done on purpose. And whats with the sun review thats plastered on the poster "brilliant...back to his best"?

I saw this film unfortunately! Went to see it in one of the smaller screens in Stillorgan! There were about 20 people there and at least 6 left after an hour, says it all really!

Seems like we've all been conned by Ritchie.

Lol, I can see this film left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouths. Though I'm still glad it was not your typical Guy Ritchie film, and the acting was pretty respectable. ANd I think the apparent lack of coherency in the plot made the film all the more engaging. That's probably the best that can be said about it though.
That cartoon sequence was a bit of a joke; worst part of the film.

Went to see this last night. Was absolutly terrible!!! I was totally lost the whole way through it!
I loved Snatch and Lock Stock so i was looking forward to seeing this, but what a letdown! The actors were great though in all fairness but what a crap script!
The end was stupid - no credits and everyone just sitting there like idiots!
Grrr.... i wanted me money back i did!! :p

This film wrecked my bulb altogether. I just felt annoyed at the whole thing. 1. for false advertising. 2. Confusing pot-holed plot. 3. The elevator bit annoyed the crap out of me 4. the cartoon bit - what a rip off of kill bill. 5. The ending just took the biscuit.
