I don't think VC/PPP or any of the Tribeca sites support PokerTracker. Read the PT forums on their main site to see which sites are supported.

Edit: 4000th post! Who'd have thunk it'd be on the poker forum!

I would have, im scared of the other forums. One day id love to go to every non poker forum I could find and post really obscure poker questions with no context in indecipherable poker lingo.

Kojack in the cutoff, utg min raises he is a loose fish but a bit on the passsive side. My image is tight but not so tight that you could fit a welly up my arse. Should i move in or pack up and go home.

On a more relevant note I have been waiting years for PT to support the tribeca network. I actually think my life would at least 13% complete (less than getting a girlfriend but more than a learning to drive); id say it could be a while though. Their hand history system is a mess, theres no easy way for PT to break it down into seperate games like other sites. Actually now I think of it someone could probably write a script to collate a backlog of files and export them as fake party hands. Any coders there with two much time on their hands?

I'm actually very surprised that you haven't branched out to different poker sites HJ.
Have you not looked into getting Pokertracker, a rake back deal, and having a go at Party Poker? Table selection would be far far better than VC/PPP for hold'em cash games. There was 70k people online tonight on PP/Empire.

You're right! I do play other sites, but not to the same extent. Ive played VC for so long now, I find it hard to play on other sites properly. When I play on VC I feel at home and expect to win, which is crucial with poker.

you can get rakeback deals on doyles room and golden palace, both of which are on the tribeca network.

    That's a Personal Issue surely?

    nail on head.

Where can i find a decent party poker log online? If anyone has one if they could zip it up and PM me i'll see what i can throw together.. at least 50 games over 2 sessions i'd say to cover everything.. I have lots of tibeca logs..

I was thinking abouty that too- no time at the moment.
A perl/cgi script on a server would be the business...

I've been working on this and the easiest way would be to parse the html of the files tribecca creates. I should have something soon if ye care to wait. The only problem then becomes distinguishing between tribecca hands and party/pokerstars hands if you need to do so.

I was thinking of doing this a while ago, but balked at paying for poker tracker, as I'm pretty much a recreational player. Is there some kind of free version of it?

I've parsd the html from the tribeca logs. It takes in multiple log files and sorts by date into a very simple tab delimited file. Just gotta track down some party logs to see how to output the data. should be simple enough.

also, was thinking of running it on a web server, but users might be reluctant to upoad their logs.. might create a simple exe or vbs file..

thanks, but managed to find a few log files on another pc so they should be fine. ppp have a really strange system compared to party and others. their log files are all over the place... it is proving quite difficult, but getting there. For ease of use it's gonna be on a server.. so you'll have to upload to convert until i hav time to write a standalone app. If it's quiet enough in work over the next day or two i'll finish it off..

Fair play to you ocallagh - that's really above and beyond....

Nearly there.. not as easy as I originally thought. I've had to restrict it to STTs for the first version. Out of a sample of 1000 STT games played on tribeca, 947 games convert without error. Of those 947, PT imports 910 successfully. I can now run stats in Poker Tracker on about 90% of Tribeca STTs that I have played.

Don't want to put anything live until I'm sure it is bug-free but PM if you're interested and I'll make sure to pass on the URL once it's ready to test..

If you get a working version up and running make sure you get something out of it for yourself, I'm sure PPP/VC/Tribeca would love to have something like this.
