And so we have another year without Sorkin.

    We begin
3 years in the future, at Bartlet's library dedication. The sitting president's limo then pulls up, and someone steps out, am guessing it's Santos going by the height and dark hair.

    We shift
back to the present, overall a pretty decent episode. The conversation between Josh and Donna was brutal but Josh did what he had to. Chances are he'll let her back at some stage though, have her as deputy.

    Great to
see old characters back (Danny, Babish and Joey Lucas).

They seem to be hinting towards
Toby being the leak about the Space Shuttle thing. Richard Schiff has already said he's leaving the show after just a few episodes of the new season. A pity, the show won't be the same without Toby, the liberal conscience of the show. Will miss his sarcasm and show touching moments too such as "baby's come with hats" with Molly and Huck and '25'.

Toby: "Food is cheaper, cars are cheaper, clothes are cheaper - can you feel me building rhythm here?! It's because I'm a speechwriter.. I know how to make a point..."

I think he's actually leaving the show 9 eps in, not just 1 or 2.

Thought the ep was totally mediocre tbh, even if it was by Deborah Cahn. We'll never have another '20 Hours in America' again...

    *sigh*

I'm sure this'll be played on all transatlantic flights in the near future :)

(It's from the second episode, not a spoiler if you've seen series six)

No, we won't have another 20 Hours in America again. :(

Episode 2, what a terrible name The Mommy Problem.

The montage at the start was quite strange to watch.

There should be more focus on Vinick, how can you have Alan Alda in a show and not use him more?! I suppose it's early days yet though.

Santos and Josh in the lift, and Santos talking about sleeping with some flight attendant. Funny stuff. :D Did he say Aer Lingus? Another fun part was Josh walking down the corridor, with a scowl on his face. He gets roped into a photo, puts on a huge smile and a split-second later the scowl is back.

Not yet but I expect RTE will stick it on on a Thursday at midnight as usual. Liked Episode 1. The show seems to have come out from under the shadow of Sorkin at last.

US TV giant NBC is to air a live episode of political drama 'The West Wing' next month.

The 6 November episode will feature a live debate between presidential candidates Matt Santos (Jimmy Smits) and Arnold Vinick (Alan Alda).

Reuters reports the episode will be performed live twice on the night, once for the Eastern and Central time zones in the US, and once for the Mountain and Pacific regions.

'The West Wing' began its seventh season on US television last month, but the first two episodes recorded the show's lowest ratings ever in the series' new Sunday night slot.

Yeah, its a typical stunt to get ratings: shoot the episode 'live'.

Actually, they've to do it twice, once for east coast america, another for west.

Anyone see episode 5 yet about Toby?
It was said to see Bartlett have a go at him after firing him.
    Good episode.
