More shelter at DART/train stations

I don't think it would have been that big a job or cost that much to improve the shelter at many of the DART stations around Dublin. Portmarnock, Killbarrack, Raheny, etc. even Tara St. are poorly sheltered, especially given our 'damp' climate. Does anyone agree? Does anyone know if this was ever costed? Or is this in IE plans for the future?

    One sentence for you

Local thugs burned out most of the orignal shelters

Tara Street is the best sheltered of all it would be hard to do beter

    Pearse is much better. :p

I can't see major work to Tara Street until they rebuild the entire station.

Well I'd rather see the same type of shelter as they have at Tara St. as opposed to the type they have at Killester etc.

They could extend the shelter at Tara St., it only covers around half the platform at the moment.

I'd be interested to see the costs. If they are excessive, then fair enough, it isn't essential. But surely it would make sense to do it as part of the current upgrade?

I'd rather they spent the money on increasing the frequency of the Darts instead of making peoples waiting time more comfortable.

I guess neither is a priority at the moment.

CIE will be riding high on their great success in providing accessibility and more carraiges.
    Hurray!
