Philips dvd 3500 help

    Hi, its my first time to post in this forum,and the search function seems to be disabled, so I hope this is not a repeat.I just got a philips dvd 3500, I have made it region free, and now I am wondering if there is a way to allow it to play divX without making a change to the hardware any help would be greatly appreciated

    From what I can gather if what you have purchased is one of these

    + DVD/SACD Home Theatre System
    HTS3500S/05
    Progressive Scan- PAL & NTSC
    Multi-format Movies-DivX, MP4
    Quick Start Guide




    + DVD/SACD Home Theatre System
    HTS3500S/12
    Progressive Scan- PAL & NTSC
    Multi-format Movies-DivX, MP4
    Quick Start Guide

    Then it should already play DIVX. Just burn your DIVX as a data CD or DVD and it should play fine on your DVD Player.
