I thinking about flying to Paris with Ryanair as its 3 times cheaper than Aerlingus. however it flys into Beauvais which i hear is outside Paris City. How far out is it and is it worth the money??

It's about an hour and a half, but it pretty much drops you fairly centrally. The bus is €20 return. So it depends how much you're getting non ryanair flights for.

Beauvais is about an hour by bus from Paris city centre.

Tickets are about 10 euro each way and leave from outside the
    airport.

Works quite well actually - the bus drops you off down the road
from the Arc de Triomphe near the metro / RER.

Only drawback is that the bus returns 3 hours before your flight
and if you miss it tough, no other options. But 3 hours is no
    big deal these days anyway.

Not much to do in Beauvais airport while you are waiting, but
you get what you pay for.

its bout 316 euro via Aerlingus for 2 , and 98 Euro for 2 via ryan air. so its probably worth it

Just to note : the bus is now €13 each way.

The RER to CDG is also €8 (bus is more) so the cost of getting into the city isn't that different.
