Slingshot legality

    Ok...a m thinking of buying a slingshot of ebay. Its a Barnett Pro Diablo slingshot and was wondering of the legality of them in ireland :confused: . I just dont wanna pay for the thing and have it taken off me later...

    They are legal a glorified Elastic band had one when I was young and actually became handy with it hunting rabbits and piegons back in the stone age :D

    They kinda fall into the same category as Stanley knives, baseball bats, and slide hammers.
    It's all about context. Any and all of the above items will get you arrested under the right(?) circumstances. Having a slingshot in your back pocket while attending a G8 protest would undoubtedly lead to a bit of 'helping the police with their enquiries,' for example.
