There are a couple of free websites that do this, www.yousendit.com is probably the best known of them, it allows you to send a file of up to a gig to about 20 people I think, though it has a bandwith restriction that they dont advertise. But unless your sending a file that is a gig to all 20 people I doubt you'll exceed it.

www.megaupload.com is an alternative. They host files which are <250mbs

Taken from the 'Net, not my opinion or research:
(Personally: I've found megaupload to provide a decent up/down rate!)

Note that there is a finite amount of time that they will typically host the file (i.e. the recommendation above)

    Size Limit: 250 MB
    Download Limit: 250 Downloads
    File Life: 7 Days

    »datapickup.com/
Size Limit: 250 MB (was originally 1.5 GB but i guess their servers must've gotten bombarded so they had to lower it)
    Download Limit: 25 Downloads
    File Life: 7 Days

    Size Limit: 250 MB
Download Limit: NONE, but there is a 40-second download timer (similar to Rapidshare's except shorter)
    File Life: Unlimited

    »www02.megaupload.com/index.php
    Size Limit: 500 MB
    Download Limit: NONE
File Life: 30 Days+ provided there's still download activity after 1 month

http://www.sendspace.com is quite good 1.2GB filesize limit. :p

No speed cap, or number of times file is downloaded, just the bandwidth total downloading uses up (100GB, i.e. a 100MB file can be downloaded 1020 times only).
