Ok well this is a last resort.

I got my lost DVD today, :D I ripped open the box and tried to play it on the computer, no such luck...even after downloading all the region free software, etc, it just kept freezing and givin me error messages.

So I thought, no biggy just play it on the DVD player. I changed the settings to multi region and I got a bit of the first episode but it was all slow motioney and it kept freezing, some of the discs didn't work at all.

So I ask you? Is this the DVD or the player? Has anyone else had this problem? God I really want to watch it.

Probably best suited for somewhere like the Computers forum where you'll get proper information from people who've had this problem with other DVDs...

    Or muppets ;)

most likely the DVD at fault.
Where did you get the DVD? be honest.. was it legit?
    What are the error messages?
    Check for dust/dirt/scratches?

Yeah, I got em from amazon. Does anyone know the story on buying region free discs for the dvd player? How much? Where?

Cos to be honest my computer (regarding dvds, cds, etc) has always been a bit dodgy. By dodgy I mean it can barely play cds and some dvds.

And the dvd player, I had to hack in the code, so does that mean that the manufacturer can claim it wasn't meant to be tampered with?
