What do people think of the following Tournament Structure ?

You start with 10,000 in chips, the levels are all 25mins and max 70 players.
    Level	SB	BB	Ante
    1	25	25
    2	25	50
    3	50	100
    4	75	150
    5	100	200
    	   10 min break
    6	150	300
    7	250	500	25
    8	350	700	25
    9	500	1000	50
    10	750	1500	75
    	   25min break
    11	1000	2000	100
    12	1500	3000	150
    13	2000	4000	200
    14	3000	6000	300
    15	5000	10000	500
    	   10min break
    16	7500	15000	500
    17	10000	20000	1
    18	15000	30000	1.5
    19	20000	40000	2
    20	30000	60000	3
    21	40000	80000	4
    22	50000	100000	5

    It's a Freeze Out.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that it was my suggestion of a structure.

It's actually for a e50+10 F.O. that I came across today. I haven't played many live tournaments and was just looking for some opinions on the value to be had from that kind of structure. It looks like alot of play to me - especially considering the field size and a 1pm start.

I must say I like it, and a nice early start, I was invisioning (spelling??) an awful long tourney if it started at night .... not sure about level 1 either but heh

There's a huge amount of play, which is nice, but when the running antes are introduced they seem to be a bit small; they won't make a significant difference to the initial pot. Also you will be keeping the pony chips till at least level 12, which may slow down the game.

Looks like a nice structure, what's the tournament and where's it being played?

pretty good but unless its a min €200 buy-in why bother with such a long structure?. i wouldnt want to be battling for over 10 hours to be winning a few hundred euro.

True, but if you want to get a bit of live experience, it's value for money. Sounds good for peeps with not to much of a BR

It's being run tomorrow near Utrecht here in Holland.

Finding decent well run tournaments over here is problematic.

Holland Casino runs some from time to time but from what I've heard & read they quickly turn into crapshoots and are not worth bothering with. They were asked to improve the structure and basically responded saying that it was really just staff with free time who was organising them and as far as they're concerned the space would better serve a few roulette tables. Typical.

I'll give this one a go tomorrow if I can get up early enough :o

Excuse me now while I go learn the dutch for raise and call...
