    Hi all,

Just to add to the recent influx of training realated threads...

I'm 5' 11'' and 12.5 stone in the process of losing body fat and toning muscle. I'm strictly adhering to a 1800 cal per day intake (increased to 2000 on training days).

My most intesive workout days are on Tuesday's and Thursday's, which consists of 2 hours of soccer based training (running, drills and calistetics (sp?)). I'm taking a carb supplement (400 cals) before/during training and a designer protein shake (100 cals) straight afterwards. I count these supplements as part of my daily calorie intake.

In your expert opinions can you see this aiding my fat loss or slowing it down?

    Advice much appreciated!

If your aim is fat loss, I don't think supplements are the way to go. Simply because you'll want to saviour the enjoyment of every last calorie you allow yourself.
I use supplements, to good effect, when I just can't stomach eating yet another tin of tuna.
