Hi the boyfriend & and friends are planning to go camping next weekend - none of them have ever been before - could anyone recommend a good place near a river or lake as they want to go fishing.

we used to just go out conemara and follow a river until we got a good spot, dont know anbout camping sites as such.

btw, it's starting to get seriously cold out there now, if you havn't been camping before, I suggest you bring lots of clothes.

http://www.cfb.ie/Links/coarselinks.htm << gives you an idea of fishing sites in Ireland. You may need a license though, Rory's in Temple Bar can help you with that (taken that you're in Dublin).
