Lee Murray stabbed.

    I just read that Lee Murray was stabbed and is in critical condition in hospital. For anyone who doesn't know Lee, he is the top of the tops in the UK at 185lbs in MMA and has fought in such notable organisations as UFC and Cage Rage. It's a shame someone could stab him. Prayers go out to him.

    Murray had been stabbed repeatedly in the chest, puncturing a lung and severing an artery. He remains in critical condition after having undergone two operations, The Standard reported.

    A veteran of Cage Rage and the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Murray had been attending a birthday party for "Page 3" girl Lauren Pope before violence broke out around 3:15 a.m that escalated into a mass brawl involving 25 people. As of Wednesday evening no arrests had been made, though police said that they are hunting several suspects.

    Officers found one victim outside the club and another lying on the pavement near Green Park tube station. Murray, himself, had collapsed in a pool of blood 100 yards away.

    thats a sad thing to happen. Please God the lad will pull through and get well again. prayers for him and family.

    was he a sports player or did he learn RBSD re knife defences?

    its important to know a wee bit of all.

    Sandly no news yet on how he is doing, but this is doing the rounds I fear.

    The UK newspaper , 'The Sun' printed the following article on Lee Murray:

    "...the cage fighter stabbed at a page 3 party has an underworld contract on his head. Lee Murray 28, is said to have angered one of Britains leading gang families.

    Underworld sources said he had been in fear of his life before the attack just after 3 A.M. on Wednesday. One sorce said "there were some very heavy people from a well known family who were upset with him".

    Murray, from Sidcup, Kent, was still in critical condition in a hospital last night after being stabbed four times by a gang outside the Funky Buddha Club in London's Mayfair. They pulled up in a BMW X5, as Page 3 girl Lauren Pope celebrated her birthday inside."
