Calling all fans of Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Im trying to find people who can share my love of the king of Late Night, the funniest man in the world?

I have to find people who can talk to me about him cos my friends are sick of it!

And he wrote some of the best episodes for the Simpsons too!

I don't watch it religiously or anything but I do find myself stopping at it if I'm ever channel surfing.

I like all the build up stuff he does but I have to admit I switch off as soon as the 'celebrity' interviews begin.

Last night he and that guy from BruceSpringsteens band did a great bit where they were plugging "great new shows on FOX!" and I thought it was hilarious. The punchline where they had these looks of utter disenchantment and personal disgust on their faces was priceless

Oh it would be perfect in the year 2000..
The guy from Bruces band is Max Weinberg the band leader on Conan.
Theres him, LaBamba, Pender, Jimmy & Jerry Vivino, Scott Heally and Mike Merritt in the Max Weinberg 7! They ROCK!

I love any segment which ends with Conan and Max staring at each other with looks of disgust on their faces... Its genius!

Remember watching it once and I thought by the look of him he'd be a real crap conservative american host, but he was actually pretty funny. Must watch it again!!

Conan is very funny, I always found him to be more natural than Leno. His jokes don't feel like they were rehearsed about 20 times before coming on set.

Love his little head/eye movements and hair flicks.
Or when he tails off a joke, say about paris hilton, you hear him murmurring, "shes a slut" "hes fat", real crude comments etc. Leno attempts this tailing off of jokes while an audience is laughing but it doesnt compare at all.

Conan is just brilliant. You can see the Simpsons humour coming through in most of his offbeat skits.

If conan takes over the tonight show he won't be even half as good as he is now. He'll have tone it down completely for the "family" audience, and thus won't be half as querky etc. BTW the thing where max and conan have a conversation which ends in them staring at each other is ****ing amazing

This is true - but he'll be in his late 40's at that point... it'll be time to start naturally toning down anyway... sadly.

yeah i think he's great too, can't get enough of the show, recently downloaded a few random eps of the net,

i think he does the nerd impression etc way too much , i know all comedians repeat jokes but its getting annoying now.

its great that its back on cnbc, loved the suicidal announcer too...

i think he gets way more out of the guest then leno, less of the pre-interview feel from it...

btw did anyone see jodie foster on leno last night, she looked like nancy reagan????great interview though she still seems a fairly real person

never really liked leno, hes just not funny, the last show i watched he insulted a member of the audience for a cheap fat guy gag

conan is great, just got copys of conans first 2 shows back 1994-09-29, lots of talk about replacing letterman in the shows

I love American humour at its best but Conan ****ing O'Brien????? You have got to be ****ting me.

Let's see. He comes on to mass hysteria pumped up by a band led by a drummer who looks (and dresses) like your da.

He does a silly walk turns around, does it some more. Unbuttons his jacket, flashes to the left, flashes to the right, waves his quiff that is held together by enough aerosol propellant to punch a hole in the ozone layer, does a silly salute with his left hand, then another with his right hand.

Meanwhile the entire audience is Woo Hooing like that song in Kill Bill. Then he spends five minutes telling us what a great show he's got tonight. More woo hooing.

Then we break for ads.

Mind you, some people like all that ****e.

Personally, I want to kill him.

Even more than I want to kill whatever bastard plays the bass guitar links in Seinfeld.

some day I'll come off the fence and tell you all what I really think.

Love Conan,the man wrote the best episodes of the simpsons and that shows in his humour. Havent seen an episode that I wasnt nearly crawling on the floor laughing at it at some point in it!

so true, however i doubt if he wrote anymore episode they would be ruined by the voice actors will to do the show. they don't care now as long as they get their money.

it is on CNBC (channel 510) somewhere between 9:00-11:00

sorry i can't be more specific with the times as i only catch it whilst channel hopping, but it's an excellant show apart from max the drummer.

Um CNBC Europe do show him every night at 10.45. I love Conan. Sadly I dont need to download eps I have over a years worth of tapes! YAY....Im a freak! Ya gota love Conando he just so different. When a joke dies on Leno he just kinda pretends it never happened but Conan makes a joke out of it and turns it into the funniest moment of the night! Leno is wooden. He cant relax and make the guest comfortable and at ease like Conan!

CNBC show's Leno and then Conan right after it, most nights. I think some nights they even show two episodes of Conan back to back (maybe I'm wrong about that).
The delay seems to be about 2 or 3 weeks or so, not sure.

Can't stand the man. Maybe it all goes over my head but I just don't find him funny. I despise Letterman, all that damn fidgetting!! Arrgghh!! Leno's Headlines are good, but the rest of the show sucks. In short, I don't like that american chat show format. I like american comedy, but not their chat shows (then again, I don't like chat shows 'period').

Anyway, each to their own-for true comic genius it has to be David Schwimmer. I think he's totally underrated.

Actually it Leno, Conan then Last Call with Carson Daly which we dont get over here! Which si kind of unfortunate cause I think it skind of funny. Lenos on first because he was in the business before Conan so he was known so it was ok for him to take the spot when Johnny Carson left. Conan however has proved himself over the last 12 years. Thats why NBC signed him up to take over the Tonight Show in 2009 5years in advance. They see how brilliant he is and dont want to risk loosing him!!! He is BRILLIANT!

I dont know... I know Tuberty is a rip off of Conan. He says so himself (Well not in so many words. He says that Conan was a big influence on him but if you look at his set it bears a stricking resemblance to Conans original set.) However hes left out the best part - THE COMEDY! Actually he doesnt leave it out he incapable of it! Conan is the best!
