Are you sure you mean a DVD?
If not - just use Windows Media Player or iTunes or MusicMatch or something.

If you do mean a DVD - it's a bit trickier. I'm sure there are probably programs out there to do it. Google is yer friend!

Have you searched the web? [If you have please say so and avoid flames]

I tried Download.com and entered "rip dvd audio"
The third result returned, DVD Audio Ripper, has a high CNET Editor rating. It's free to try, $29 to buy.

There may be free products out there but I've done enough searching for you.

If I was to do it - I'd go about it way weird!
First just rip the selected songs (use something like CloneDVD) to .vob files, then convert the individual "songs" to .avi files (WinAVI).
TMPEGEnc can then extract the audio from this avi (which contains both audio & video). The outputted audio would be in .wav format so convert it (Music Match) to.mp3 if you like. That's how I'd do it as I have all of that software already installed and don't like installing other crap for the sake of one task!

    Later!

I have searchd the web but havent been able to find any free user friendly programs. I'am sure other people must be ripping the audio from the live in concert DVDS. so any recommendations are more then welcome

if you have the gordian knot rippack there a bit of software there called besweet, i think.that rips audio from dvd's.prob can download it on its own too.
use a audio editor to chop up the audio track into single tracks if its all in one.

The software mentioned above (DVD audio ripper from download.com) is what I use and it's fine. The only restriction on the trial is that each track can only be 5 mins long, but aside from that it's fine.
