Breathe

BEAT

The Heavens were moving swiftly
& The Sky turned into White night
as the fierce winds they blew
in from the east.

The only sounds heard,
Screaming Trees...
thier struggle,
to hold onto life.

Autumn is fighting her,
trying to steal away her green in the night.
Summers Clenches Loosen...
and the morning scattered with death.

Fog moves in to cover Autumns presence,
Floating in with a soft hand of slumber...
PLacing them to rest,
before Winter marches in for the kill.

A cool kiss and a gentle nudge of frost
Lulls them fast to sleep...
to ease the pain,
of being naked again.

They weep & wail,
oh mighty protectors...
They pull and sway to fight the sleep,
Thier defenses lost again.

Breathe it in deep,
let it fill you.
Make it last ,
winter is not far in the distance.

Autumn is kind and softens the blow,
stealing away the green in the night.
Winter is coming with his army,
leaving none uncovered in his crystal strangle-hold.

While away the hours with her now
for the days are growing shorter.
Dont forget her in your laughter
for soon Autumns tears clean the slate for Winter.

Breathe it in deep,
let it move in and out and all around you.
Harvest your love for nature now
for deaths cold grip is chasing her away.

definitely a Shelley influence there I'd say

- o wild west wind, thou breath of autumns being, thou from whose unseen presence the leaves, dead, are driven.....and all that jazz

well Thank you, I will take that as a compliment, because whilst I have not read Shelley completely, I am aware of the great influence Shelley has had in the writing world. One of the greats that I have been meaning to read for some time, I have only read a few here and there...and will try to look for the one you mentioned there

if i were to criticise this harshly but in a constructive manner how would you respond? i only say this because i don't want to get lambasted for expressing a very negative opinion and subjective criticism.

i particularily liked this bit, very very good, as for the rest, i did enjoy it but it is like nothing i have seen before for some reason, which could be good
