Intruder Alarm Control Panel Problem

    Hi all,

    Our burglar alarm control panel is acting up - can't set it - error codes keep showing up on the display. We rang the alarm company and they said that the memory had gone and that it would cost €400-500 to get a new one. I've obviously done the obvious by checking all windows, doors etc but no joy. I've never heard of an alarm failing before and given that it has no moving parts, I feel that I'm being ripped off. Does anyone here work in the alarm business who could give some guidance?

    What alarm panel (+model), what error codes etc...???...

    Better off in Gardening/diy section, there are a few alarm experts there.
