Did anybody hear about Elephant grass. They say it could greatly help in the energy crisis. It would be grown by farmers and it grows very high. The downside side however is they want to grow it on the bogs. This would destroy the bogs but I suppose they are being destroyed already.

It may grow well on bogs, but since I believe it's harvested very late in year, I think the bogs would be too wet for effective harvesting, without significant damage to plants and ground.
