Nokia 7200 External Screen Broken?

After turning the thing on, after about ten seconds the external display does that weird LCD crash thing (like a gameboy when you turned it off), and doesn't come back on. Otherwise the phone is fine, any ideas before I send it back to Nokia?

the best thing is send it back to nokia if its under warranty. but they might say u damaged it.
