Evening all. After a hectic night last night, all I could do today was lie on the couch. I was browsing thru all the channels on my strong 6355 when I noticed that Sky One was coming in perfectly, well almost. It was all picture and no sound.

Anyone know what the story is? Can I change the audio pid and get sound? Has it always been like this? Am I destined to lip read when watching sky one?

    Thanks,
    MJ

643 and 641 are the audio pid's for 2 versions of Sky One according to Lyngsat

enjoy while it lasts, probably not for long

    What's the frequency (Kenneth)?

    Astra 2B (28.2E) - 12285.00 V - DVB - 27500
No audio so must be test for the launch of Sky Two & Sky Three which will be FTA

Sky Two is already there in the form of Sky Mix so no testing is required for that. dont expect Sky Three to be FTA, except on Freeview of course

Video running on Hauppage PCI card (like Skystar1 & Nexus-s). I can't verify audio as I acidently disconnected the audio cable internally recently!

Off to check the DSL4 Palcom (a bit like Lidl Comag box).

Not that I ever much watched Sky1 when I had a sub.

Probabily a mistake in encryption settings

Dutch NED channels where clear all weekend once.

    On palcom DSL4
S1T and Sky One, both on that transponder are marked Scrambled, but both have clear video.

There is regular stereo audio and "Narrative" stereo audio, both on both channels apparently encrypted.
    Some programs have subtitles....
