I've a friend moving to Ireland from Australia and he's anxious to know if the series "House" is shown on any Irish/British stations available here.

I've never heard of it, but thought someone here might know.

Any ideas, or definite answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

according to Digiguide it is on Hallmark

    DRAMA: House
    Channel: Hallmark
    Date: Monday 26th September 2005
Time: 21:00 to 22:00 (starting in 1 day)
    Duration: 1 hour.
    Poison. Series 1, episode 8.
British comedy favourite Hugh Laurie (Jeeves and Wooster, Blackadder) is the eponymous star of this compelling new medical mystery series. Dr Gregory House of the prestigious Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, is part-doctor, part-Sherlock Holmes - a genuine genius, a professional maverick and pretty much the most caustic-tongued medic you're ever likely to meet. Devoid of any bedside manner, House wouldn't even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Robert Sean Leonard (Dead Poets Society), Jesse Spencer (Neighbours) and Omar Epps (ER) stars as House's team of Dr's. In this episode, House and his team have to act fast when a high school student is admitted with a mysterious and lethal poisoning.

It's also on Five on Thursdays at 10pm also.

Great show. Wasn't sure at first but it's grown on me. Second series has just started in the US too.

I hate missing episodes too, particularly the pilot, but I started watching 'House' last week on Hallmark from episode #3, there's not really too much ongoing stuff to catch up on tbh. It's a good show, though quite medical which isn't always my cup of tea, but apparently it picks up a good bit from episode #8, so tonight is the pefect time to start :)

Also, it's on Monday-Friday @ 9pm on Hallmark, but there's a 4am repeat if the 9pm doesn't suit -- I sky plus the 4am episode 'cos 9pm every night is too busy with other shows.

I watched the first three episodes of these and thought it was a pile of cack. It's the same lame story every week - grumpy Hugh Laurie and his gang of medical wunderkinder defy logic and manners in discovering the root of the problem was a dodgy ham sandwich, again and again.
