On Monday September 26th, MSN UK users will see a completely blacked out screen with a single light switch that illuminates to reveal the Specsavers marketing message.

    You've been warned! ;)

Specsavers, Europe's largest retail provider of home delivery contact lenses, chose MSN for its demographic audience, particularly the over-35 target group. The ad campaign will be supported by additional targeted activity on MSN Messenger and MSN Hotmail from 27 September for two weeks until 9 October.

^^ Got that of www.mess.be. Odd eh?

Bastards! not all of us need glasses, are we not under constant attack from SpecSavers when we watch T.V?!, should have gone to specsavers...should have gone to specsavers, that ****ing ad... ARGH! If I found out who approved that advert for T.V, I'd punch them in their eyeballs so they'd NEED to go to SpecSavers!

I'll be surprised when advertising methods start de-evolving, like using fax machines to send telemarketing. For now, I wouldnt be surprised if they started sticking adverts on viruses and program updates :p

Just to clarify, this is only for the msn.co.uk portal, and not MSN messenger.

I presume it will just be some kind of flash execution.

It just shows the level companies are now willing to go to avoid the clutter on the web.

I guess they want to make a spectacle of themselves.... arf
